Microsoft Excel is one of the most popular spreadsheet software applications around the world. Excel is widely used by individuals and companies alike for almost everything, including creating spreadsheets and reports, as well as working with data. In earlier versions of Microsoft Excel, you would only be able to store five workbooks in your library. As an Excel user, it is important that you have many different workbooks so that you can create new worksheets, add formulas to calculate complex mathematical expressions, and edit existing cells. In earlier versions of Microsoft Excel, you would not be able to include any custom objects into your worksheets. The use of Microsoft Excel templates in this case would be problematic. However, in the latest version of Microsoft Excel, you are able to include custom objects such as pivot tables, web pages, frames, and frames objects.
If you work with more than a few Excel worksheets, then you might want to consider getting an add-in to manage them. These add-ins allow you to store information into your database and automatically creates and updates your spreadsheets according to the changes it makes within other data in your database. There are many free template databases that you can find online that you can use as an add-in for your Microsoft Excel software. By using free templates in your Microsoft Excel applications, you will save yourself time, money, and avoid the hassles involved with manually adding items to your workbooks.
You can also get a third-party application that will perform the task of creating your template for you. This is ideal for those who do not have access to Microsoft Excel, or who are uncomfortable using Microsoft Office applications on a Mac. One such program is the open source application called Open Office. This is a free application which can perform all kinds of tasks related to word processing, spreadsheets, and PowerPoint presentations.
