Most common online inventory management software packages include a Microsoft excel template. You can download free excel templates from the internet and use them in your Excel workbook. These spreadsheets usually have blank columns for you to enter your inventory information. You may want to create a worksheet with a fixed number of categories (rows) and names (columns). If you would like your spreadsheet to be flexible, you can add cells with formulas that indicate the values in each category.
You may also want to create your own inventory sheets using the inventory management software package that includes your custom inventory control panel.
